Footage shows residents in Old Irving Park confronting federal agents who had several suspects pinned to the ground on Saturday (October 25), as tear gas enveloped the area. Tensions have been high in Chicago as the Trump administration ramps up his anti-immigration agenda. Last week two high school students were detained after clashes between protestors and ICE officials.

    I hope Democrats realize that if they ever get back into power there will be an Epstein list situation where liberals demand the ICE payroll to be released so these traitors can’t exist among us without repercussion and if they don’t release it they’ll be hearing “Why are Democrats protecting Nazis” just like we’re hearing “Why are Republicans protecting pedophiles” right now.

    ICE is a wasteful “make work” jobs program for racist losers and dumbasses who can’t get one or hold one down anywhere else. It has ZERO return on investment. They can’t even accomplish a small fraction of their stated task. In fact, the entire DHS, including TSA and ICE is provably redundant, incompetent, and corrupt. (The OTHER reason these agencies were created was to hand out huge government contracts to assholes like Michael Chertoff)…

    We don’t need these fucking people, and these agencies should be disbanded. The personnel should be trained to do construction, and they should be centrally employed by the government to build federally funded hospitals in rural communities (instead of shutting most of them down due to Medicaid cuts), and repairing the roads and bridges that are collapsing all over the country, as we see now n multiple headlines a year.

    Make ‘em build houses. Call it “Department of Housing Security”.

      I think ICE, with its astronomical budget, has two main functions for MAGA: to embezzle state funds, for example through private prison companies, and to set up a secret police force loyal to the regime.

      Incidentally, as of November 15, the military will no longer be paid, which I would say fits in with the picture - but hey, private patrons are stepping in and distributing money “without any strings attached”…

        One private patron stepped up n to donate $130 million to pay the troops, which works out to about $100 each. So, basically ramen noodles for a month.

          More will certainly want to buy in.

          It is also in the regime’s interest for soldiers to be dissatisfied with ramen noodles instead of wages, because ICE has a budget that corresponds to the military spending of medium-sized countries now: Either soldiers with a fitting fascist mindset can be poached, and/or the military can be weakened as a potential opponent in the establishment of a dictatorship (no pay = layoffs, and these will mainly be people who have a problem with an autocratic America under an orange dictator).

          I’m not from the US, but it all looks pretty grim to me.

            Ice apparently has the 8th largest budget in militaries around the world. Gonna say it goes US, China, Russia, UK, Germany, India, France, Ukraine maybe (off the top of my head). Israel might be in there instead now too.

            They are trying to be a private army for MAGA, along with the aforementioned grift payouts to prison companies.

      The state that they claim is a shit hole (Illinois) has some of the best infrastructure in the country despite having one of the most challenging climates for it. And it’s only gotten better in the time since Pritzker took office. Crazy what progressive policy can do for the collective.

        Well you obviously can’t do direct violence, but organized sabotage ,bribery would probably work on these morons, they drive everywhere, stake out their main departure points, get some construction signs, setup fake detours drop tyre busters , grease up their exits as much as possible, get paint on their windshields when they get out to chase people, get stink bombs on their vehicles or clothes…but you will need volunteers and a loose organization
