My university sent out travel warning announcements about the US to all students and staff through email and matrix last week. Basically warning everyone, especially queer people, that you should expect complications or unjust treatment when traveling to the US. Kinda crazy that some german university takes this more serious than the US democrats take the end of their democracy.

It has been fun so far, the planning tool for coordinating is a great idea. I like the somewhat retro aesthetic too. There are definitely still some bugs since the dev work was only recently taken over by new people, but it works fine for me.

Exactly. If AI were to scale like the people at OpenAI hoped, they would be celebrating like crazy because their scaling goal was literally infinity. Like seriously the plan that openai had a year ago was to scale their AI compute to be the biggest energy consumer in the world with many dedicated nuclear power plants just for their data centers. That means if they dont grab onto any and every opportunity for more energy, they have lost faith in their original plan.
