Looks like the boycott is real since it’s been reported that Disney has been in talks with Kimmel to being the show back.
I kind of wish Kimmel would tell them to go fuck their collaborator selves but I’m sure he’s doing this for his staff.
Also, we need to have a picture of public domain Steamboat Willie telling Disney to go fuck themselves.
Because Disney sucks?
BoycottDisney
BoycottStarWars
BoyottMarvel
BoycottABC
BoycottPixar
Also ESPN
Disney took a potshot at us. We supposed to just sit and take it? Can’t really shoot back without legal trouble so all we can do is drop them and back away from the terminally diseased machine it is
I’ve never had or would have a Disney anything … when I watched the Mandolorian I sailed the high seas and I’ll continue to do so for the one or two shows a year that crap company produces. We cancelled a vacation there though and it feels right. That’s 3 to 4k they’re not getting out of us.
Disney also owns Pixar.
“We hit some new lows over the weekend with the MAGA gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them, and doing everything they can to score political points from it,” Kimmel said.
He didnt even openly celebrate his death. What the fuck? This is enough to unair him?
He’s been talking about the Epstein files a lot lately. I suspect this was just a convenient excuse.
They’ve hated him for a loooooooooooooooooong time and I think they were looking for ANY excuse to get him off the air
This is also a reminder to check your local library system to see what shows and movies they have available.
After Paramount screwed over Colbert, I canceled Paramount+. But my library had the last season of Picard (which was what I was watching anyway).
Now I’ve canceled Disney and Hulu.
Is this where Disney takes a page out of fElon’s book and tries to sue everyone that is not buying their product?
it’s an ILLEGAL BOYCOTT BY THE LEFT!
Put them out of business. We are the majority not the minority like MAGAts are.
Years of supporting genocide and you guys didn’t mind, but now you’ll boycott.
The best time for Disney to go out of business was a hundred years ago. The second best time is now.
They won’t, they’ll be fine. At very most this costs them enough that they do some market research before their next politically-motivated firing.
Yes
Truly disgusting.
ABC/Disney bent the knee to an illegitimate regime.
That’s why I cancelled it.
I’m boycotting/canceling anything to do with this administration. Period. I’ve already banned numerous products from my house, having to purchase products from more independent suppliers who don’t buy into Trump’s bullshit. Canceling a streaming service is no different.
I like the cut of your jib. Don’t forget to not use Uline and Goya
Do you have a list of items you’d be willing to share?
Comparing Walmart and Target on there is very insightful.
Target has campaign finance reform but otherwise does worse than Walmart in every way. They have Ted Cruz in their top 5 and fewer senior employees donating to democrats than Walmart. Crazy.
I had one at one point, but I’m sure someone’s got a better list that’s more current. It’s also important to do your own research so you’re better informed and not just sheeping. My personal reasons for putting a company on a shit list…
- rolled back DEI (diversity, equality, inclusion)
- against any form of LGBTQIA+
- support the Ukrainian war (thus supporting Ruzzia)
- support the Gaza conflict (thus supporting Israel)
- have any ties to Trump or related GOP/MAGA noobs
- are against human compassion and decency
- are immoral and/or unethical
Other personal values you hold dear also apply, as long as you yourself aren’t checking boxes. If that’s the case, fuck you too!
I’m surprised you were able to find any company that hasn’t done at least one of those things.
Probably easier to list things not bowing to Trump.
Every corporation would kill any one of us if it made them a dollar. Constitutional rights mean nothing to them.
Surveys done in 2018 revealed that 75% of workers at Disneyland do not make a living wage.
Workers finally won their class action lawsuit against Disney earlier this week.
https://www.latimes.com/socal/daily-pilot/entertainment/story/2025-09-18/disney-wage-theft
Judge signs off on Disney’s $233 million wage theft settlement for theme park employees
Some 51,000 current or former workers in the class action lawsuit will get an average $3,000 each by next summer.
Don’t be ridiculous, 1 USD is far too low ROI to bother with planning and executing a plan like that.
They would probably need a guaranteed 10000 USD to start looking into it, shareholders would never allow it for just a single USD. Gotta think about the returns.
Well see, it’s only inefficient if you’re trying to kill people one at a time. Put ‘em all in a camp and we can get those murdering costs down pronto. Your portfolio will never look better!
I was already planning on pirating Zootopia 2. Now I guess I can go steal some Nick Wilde plushes from a Disney store, too.
So what do I tell my non-techie friends to do? Hard to teach them how to sail the high seas easily. Especially those that live elsewhere.
They should be using free streaming sites like https://hydrahd.io/
They don’t have to make an account or give credit card information.
Really? I don’t do much of that as I collect files. I didn’t feel knowledgeable enough to recommend streaming. Are there risks of clicking the wrong button and infecting a system or anything like that? Shady sites doing shady things and that sort of thing. Didn’t want to steer them wrong. Thanks for the tip!
You should have an adblocker, but that goes for using the web at all these days.
Other than that, I also recommend checking it out yourself to see if it’s legit. Theory is no substitute for experience.
Once you get more experience using a free streaming site, you’ll be more confident in recommending it to others.

Once you go far enough down this path, you’ll start to realize how the powers that be have been conditioning us to only enjoy things after we’ve spent money on them. We’ve “gotten used” to doing things a certain way to get our dopamine fix, so doing things a different way is a foreign concept to us.
Seeing is believing.
I don’t know why the concept of a boycott is hard for some people. Boycotting a product or company does not entitle you to still have access to the product. If you can still get it without supporting them, fine, but the premise of a boycott is generally saying that you would rather go without than support the company. They can just, not watch zootopia. If that is not an option for them then they are not actually interested in boycotting. If anything, it’s more effective if people don’t pirate. That way there’s less people talking about the thing and less general interest. People who still watched it are the outliers and when they ask why no one has seen it you can explain why. I get that they are a huge company, but this is how boycotts actually work.
I get that point and disagree with it as a pirate of 40 years you are consuming a product and cheating them of the revenue. Put it on a thumb drive and share it. Make it easy for other people to cancel.
I understand that and that’s probably the best option for a company like Disney where realistically too few people will actually boycott, so making pirating easy is probably best, but for other companies I don’t always agree. It probably differs by size, but if I pirate a game for PC and mention how fun it is online or to my friends, maybe they don’t have PCs so end up buying console versions, or they don’t think to or don’t want to pirate. At the end of the day I’m now doing PR via word of mouth for a company I don’t want supported. I think so long as you’re not part of a culture talking about it and just quietly consume the media while helping people pirate it’s the best of both. Though obviously this is about pirating in theory. In practice I’m sure we would never do that. Pirating is reserved for AI companies only.
It can be more difficult in practice, especially with something like a kids movie.
I’m not suggesting it’s easy, but if not letting your kids see a movie is enough inconvenience to not boycott then you probably didn’t care that much about the boycott anyways.
Well, depending on how good your media library is you could give them access to your contents.
Just pirate it for them. 🤷♂️
It’s a delivery issue. I’d be sending a drive or something. My internet sucks so setting up Plex for them isn’t easy.
Carrier pigeon is technically faster than broadband.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IP_over_Avian_Carriers
The crows keep causing packet loss!
Seedboxes are cheap, you can rent one with Plex or Jellyfin and 1TB of storage space for like $7/mo.
Have them check out their local library for blurays. Yeah it’s less convenient than just downloading it but if they have kids they’re likely visiting the library regularly anyway.
Pirate streaming sites would be the best choice for them. Help them put a VPN on their device, bookmark the megathread, and explain how important activating their VPN before streaming is. That’s probably the easiest route for the non-tech crowd
Sell any stocks you may have too if any
