Fun fact, it’s called “garlic” because it’s basically a gar-leek.
And the “gar” in both “garlic” and the fish name originates from the Old English term for “spear.”
Call me crazy, but I’d say that the shape of a leek is much MORE spearlike than that of a garlic…
