Optimal functional time is subjective. It’s completely normal for some people to experience peak productivity at night.

“Silence is golden” for my productivity, especially with kids.

Ha! Neither. I work in an ER as a nursing aide, $18/hr which ain’t enough to live on anymore.

Easier to have ambition when you’re not using it.

Obama liked to get up around 10-11 and do most of his work in the afternoon and to 2am-4am in the morning. There’s clearly people that work outside the 9-5.

    /yawn

The 2000-0200 recreational hours were made to exclude the fun of the morning folks.

I don’t know about ya’ll, but I’d prefer for my social and fun times to be in the best part of my day, not the soul sucking work times. So you know what? Yes, absolutely! Let’s make work hours from 1900-0300, and start concerts and comedy hours at 0800.

Your cortisol cycle is off. Try doing some exercise that makes your muscles burn first thing in the morning and see if that improves your daytime mood. Doesn’t have to be much — 20 seconds will do so long as it makes your muscles feel a burn.

The people who benefit from the way the world currently works will fight like hell to not acknowledge that there is any other way of existing. I imagine it was the same for women when they wanted to break free from their dependance on men.
