I’m referring specifically to the congressional primaries. That’s where we replace the centrist Democrats with progressives who will move the Overton Window back towards the left.
Looks like you had 15.1% statewide in 2024

A lack of challengers is exceedingly rare. I was just discussing Fetterman’s election in another thread, where someone was saying he was better than Dr. Oz, but both options sucked. He also had three challengers in a primary that only saw 8.5% attendance.

The Overton Window shift in the US is mostly due to persistent low primary attendance.
Congressional primaries have seen <15% attendance for the last 40 years. Retirees never miss a vote, and have very different needs than the working class. They’re the ones who have been packing our ballots with centrists and conservatives.
We should be voting twice every two years, not once every four, for federal elections alone. Sign up for mailers if you forget. Research the candidates on the ballot, rather than relying on advertising to coerce you into doing your civic duty.

They raised minimum wage before they did anything else. They also enacted equal pay laws and several insurance protections. Read it and come back with informed criticism. This uninformed “democrats bad” nonsense is not worthy of debate.
The last time Democrats had the same majority in congress that Republicans have now was the 111th Congress. It was considered the most productive Congress since the 89th, which was also a Democratic majority.
The slim majorities that Democrats have had since have been packed full of centrists due to the horrifically low congressional primary attendance (<15%) for the last few decades. We need to stop allowing retirees to fill our ballots with conservatives and centrists, and vote in the progressives that will actively bring about change.
I hope so. Tesla would be banned next week too.
A carabiner should be able to solve that.
I know it’s not the intended use, but can you sit comfortably and relax in a sex swing? I like the idea of a tree swing with neck and leg support. I’d take naps out there.
Grandma is not the problem. It’s the ~800 billionaires in the US controlling sizable portions of single-family residences through private equity, artificially controlling market prices for maximum profit per sale. Blackstone alone owns 300,000 residences.
Fun Fact: There are 16 million vacant homes nationwide. That’s 28 vacant homes for every unhoused person.
Gotta make you understand
That’s false. Judge Merchan elected to commute Trump’s sentence. They previously determined that the SCOTUS ruling for presidential immunity did not apply to the criminal business fraud case. His actions were not determined to be “official acts of the office of the president.”
Nah. You don’t want it to rotate, you want to move your hand in a small circle.
You use the wood right before the exposed lead and maintain pressure toward the outside of the spool. The pen clip cap from a Bic or a partially unbent paper clip worked even better than a pencil.

So you have no advice, only condemnation. Thanks for wasting my time. Good luck complaining the government into submission.
Your entire comment is based on your projection of a peaceful surrender. I don’t think you understand how to debate. I’m stating that peaceful resistance has successfully grown our numbers from a few hundred thousand to ~10M in four months. You are challenging that method. Propose a better method to mobilize tens of millions of citizens and you’ll have my attention. Otherwise, you’re just writing noise.
So you think it makes sense to bring violence and provoke that step before we have the numbers we need for a successful resistance, rather than continuing to grow our numbers under our legal protections?
Do you see how your argument makes no sense?
Unfortunately, 15% is above the national average for congressional primaries. That’s all we need to change to change the Democratic Party. All the funding in the world won’t matter if we all take it upon ourselves to research the candidates on the ballot and show up at the polls.
For a point of reference, Mamdani broke the record for NYC Mayoral Democratic Primary turnout with just 30%, up from 21% last election. We just need to outnumber the retirees.
