At one point, I heard our local ice cream truck playing Wintergatan - Marble Machine. I thought it was cute and kinda refreshing to hear a newer tune like that.
that’s a cracking tune: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IvUU8joBb1Q
Hello? and Im not the biggest fan. First time I heard it I was doing yard work with my headphones in and thought someone was trying to get my attention.
Whatever it is, he’s out at 9:30pm and I’m convinced he’s not selling anything legal.
look at this guy, never bought an icecream at night. You get the best deals that way!
And the best meth…
hah! *slaps shoulder* yeah!
What 'chu want?
Pop Goes the Weasel like this one (not mine)
It only plays a tune when it’s run out of ice cream, or at least that’s what my mother told me 😅
smart woman
Just dropping by to share the legendary
lmao, actually slapped
LMAO, my man co-opted an old racist tune. You go on with your bad self.
Mr. Sandman just like this one.
Hush little baby, don’t say a word
And never mind that noise you heard
Must be a benelux thing? Same thing here
The last one I saw here was over a decade ago and it played Ears Hang Low
Ears Hang Low
Someone was raised on Barney, that’s Turkey in the Straw

The Farmer in the Dell?
I had a Nightmare once where I heard a child crying out in the streets. I looked out and it was an Ice-cream-Truck playing screams instead of music.
christ that gave me chills
I’m not sure what this one’s called but it’s very pulular in Mexico.
It’s kind of got a dreamy melancholy to it
Match of the Day theme where I live. (It’s probably playing in your head now, sorry).
It was Greensleeves where I grew up, halfway around the world.
Same result: synchronised yells from nearby houses of “Muuuuum… iiiiiice creeeeeeam!”
never apologise for a good song
Greensleeves. Nothing else.
The song that comes to mind for me is “Do your Ears Hang Low?”
I think there are mainly two competitors in Norway. The oldest and most recognisable is Isbilen (recently rebranded to Fråst) which plays Norwegian dance no. 2 by Edvard Grieg https://youtu.be/GFQLAVpataA
Diplom-isbilen is a lot newer, however lately i have mostly been hearing them driving around. https://youtu.be/6xXp-11Swcc
Hjem-is no longer operates in Norway, but they used to just ring a bell. I think they’re still around in Sweden under the name Hemglass
The first one is really fun with that periodic trill which peters out. The second one I have to say I’m not very fond of, maybe because it sounds overproduced in that advert. Still, beats a ringing a bell!
