Finished Batman: Arkham Asylum yesterday. Also started Witcher 3 a while ago and have yet to finish that.

Struggling at the moment to find something to get into.

Played around 4 hours of Days Gone and it didn’t really grab my attention.

Played THPS 1+2, got to area 51 on the first game within around an hour and just found it boring these days, I got ruined by Skate and it’s far superior control scheme.

Started on Forza Horizon 5, I really enjoyed playing 4 during covid and I am craving this kind of arcade racing but I am just struggling to get into this one. I think it is a combination of the map being boring as fuck and so by extension so are the races and there being so much going on on the map yet seemingly nothing to really do. Also being presented DLC on the map as if it is a race I can go and do really rubbed me up the wrong way a bit.

I have Disgaea 6 to try as well as Wasteland 3 and Disco Elysium but really not feeling an RPG right now. I’d like to try NFS Unbounded but refuse to download a shitty launcher to do so so now I’m lost xD

I agree so much on Forza 5, it‘s my first Forza and driving through the wasteland that is the part of Mexico they decided to largely use is… boring. Which is a shame cause the graphics, car selection, and driving is top tier. The Crew piqued my interest cause it‘s on Hawaii which sounds immediately more interesting lol, but I think it‘s overall a qualitatively worse game from the looks of it.

Hidden gem, The Witcher 3. Taking my sweet time to do everything I want, so I’m 120h in and I don’t feel like I’m too far into the main questline. That’s good, I’d like it to last as long as possible lol

I don’t think it’s very hidden^^ Great game though, I’ve replayed it a few times to try out different things

        hidden

        A little tongue-in-cheek :P

I’ve been doing everything (except for Gwent) so I don’t know if I can fit a second playthrough, there are very few things I could do differently, for example focusing a bit more on Gwent, using non-witcher gear and upping the difficulty. I could also try it unmodded, but after playing with W3EE it’s unlikely that the original combat system would satisfy me. Well, it is too early to decide anyway, I estimate I should have more than 100h left, give or take haha

Hmmm, I never tried mods. Combat is the one major weakpoint of the game, maybe I’ll try W3EE one day

Modded combat adds so many layers to it and witcher contracts finally feel like proper boss fights, you need to prepare for each of them in a different way because without the right potions and oils it’s unlikely you can succeed (unless, I don’t know, you’ve beaten all Souls games with ease). The major downside of it is when you encounter large groups of enemies, because you don’t have the time to recover. Popping a potion or an oil after your first death definitely helps, though, but it breaks immersion a little bit haha

            Anyway, highly suggested

Been playing LunarLux, delightful little game. It’s like the people behind it were like “What if we take the Mega Man Battle Network aesthetics, general vibes and battle system but have combat be turn based and get the player to dodge attacks like in Undertale sometimes?”

I have tons of nostalgia for the MMBN games so this doesn’t come from an unbiased place but man, they’ve nailed the sheer Saturday morning cartoon energy the originals had down to a T. The scale is a lot smaller but I can’t wait to see what the studio comes up with next if they decide to follow up on this!

I think I will continue playing Dark Souls Remastered. I am not that far at all. The second boss is killing my nerves.

Or I continue with Minecraft: Create above and beyond Modpack

I still haven’t gotten into the Souls games yet. I think I just can’t handle that level of punishment from video games

Friends tell me that this game becomes awesome once I finish the second boss…

Its a mix of punishment and curiousity.

Project Zomboid. I’m always back to PZ whenever I feel like “gaming”. The continuous flow of mods makes this game better and better every time I open the workshop.

I’m still playing Dragon Quest IV: Chapters of the Chosen. I’m enjoying the game more now. I thought I had finished chapter 2 but it turns out there was a lot more to do! I find the characters more interesting to play now that they’re higher levels and have more spells and gear. The story is developing more too and it’s looking good.

I’ve been playing Valheim with a buddy as well and it’s been a blast. Combat and exploring the open world are great fun. I could easily let myself get lost in this game until dawn if I wanted.

I played Turmoil which is honestly pretty fun but nothing mindblowing.

I‘ve also finished Supraland which is also recommendable but I wished the dev would have actual useful pointers where to go and what to do next, I‘ve been lost walking around for an hour until I just gave up and checked out a guide on where to go multiple times. Especially when you put it down and come back to it a couple weeks later you‘re doomed lol

Shoutout to Lovely Planet which is an entertaining speedrun FPS that doesn‘t look like much but for sure surprised me. Final shoutout to Pineapple on Pizza which is a ten minute f2p game with a wholesome ending

sleeping dogs , picked it up about 2 weeks ago when it was on sale. I need to finish the year of the snake dlc now. I played through the main stories quick enough. There was a fun fight tournament mission like the movie enter the dragon.

Other than that I’m dipping in and out of super Mario wonder , emulated on deck and I need to get back to metal gear 5 to finish the campaign.
