  • N95 was my phone when my friend got the iPhone One. I remember uselessly arguing that my N95 also played videos and music and all that iPhone stuff as well… Except, it was so fucking slow to take videos.

I remember standing in the street and seeing a massive huge brawl outside of a pub, loads of people doing all sorts of crazy shit and I was standing there desperately trying to record a video while the shitty, sluggish N95 missed it all.

That experience really scarred me because now I’m obsessed with the absolute quick-draw features of modern phones - like the Google Pixel.

This meme highlights the real difference between the gay rights movement of the past, and the modern “lgbqt alphabet” movement of now.

Gay people just wanted to be given the same rights as everyone else, and told is that they didn’t have much choice in the matter.

With the current movement, they want everyone to change their behaviour and the way they think about things.

You’ll often see criticisms of the modern gender movement labelled as “homophobia” but they aren’t.

They are two different movements and should separated.

  • It will be like that, plus political posts.

Because people are addicted to spreading their political opinions like evangelists of old.

And they never think you mean them when you ask them to stop, becuse then other team is evil, and inserting their political opinions in to everything is their personality now. It’s tut only way they can get them likes.

Social media changed society and sadly, I don’t think escaping to the Fediverse can out run the political borest.

  • A thousand times this.

I’ve used this argument before arguing with hippies about “integrating with nature”.

Any society that isn’t on track to developing the science and engineering necessary for interstellar tavel is a dead end.

It’s a tragic waste of human intelligence to keep making the same bamboo huts indefinetly.

So some noble savage can live their lives on repeat for hundreds or millenia, and that’s somehow better than inventing an arc that can save every form of life on this unique Planet?

    Bloody stupid hippy nonsense.

  • Material Conditions lead them to that drug abuse

This is how I know you have exactly zero life experience, and clearly never given the topic more than a moments thought.

You call me dumb - but are you seriously saying that the only reason people become substance abusers is because of poverty?

Think about that for just thirty seconds.

  • The only possible way forward for Unity is for him to go.

He has a pattern of maverick pricing ideas that are totally at odds with what the community will tolerate.

As long as he’s around, there’s no knowing what else he’ll come out with.

A percentage of the profits; it’s a classic for a reason.
