There needs to be a law that cancelling a subscription should be available through the same channels as subscribing and take approximately the same or less effort on the part of the customer. It seems like such a law would just be common sense unless I’m missing something.
Not shitting on journalism but some news outlets pull that shit too. “Click here to subscribe!” And “sorry, you will have to call us during business hours to speak to an agent about canceling your subscription”
Gyms are the worst for it, a friend of mine was recently told they had to come in person to cancel—they were planning to move to a different part of the country, so then had to make a pointless trip to the gym instead of spending that time packing.
Agreed, but until then there are virtual credit cards. Won’t let me cancel? Fine, my card just stopped existing.
We have that in California, it’s great! I haven’t had to navigate a stupid phone cancellation tree in years.
about fucking time. fuck you for eternity adobe i will hold the grudge for you until i die. fuck you for taking extra money from me while i was a student. i will never in my life pay for anything adobe again
It is always morally correct to pirate Adobe products. (Or anything that runs on a subscription model, for that matter.)
Adobe is such an awful company, it is clear they want to train AI off people’s work next.
Now do Planet Fitness….
Can we sue them also for making Acrobat too hard to use? I swear that app gets slower with each update.
No, but you could stop using Adobe. There are several excellent free alternatives available.
Seal the doors and light the match.
Prepare for the sub cost to go up (again) to cover the cost.
Your challenge is accepted. We will happily prepare for that. I’m not sure it will turn out how Adobe wants it to turn out, though.
Adobe is fucked.
