minus-squareClockworkOtter@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up6·1 year agoI’m pretty sure your ethernet cable shouldn’t be getting hot
minus-squarehavokdj@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up4·1 year agoWhat about getting hot for your Ethernet cable? Your nice, long, sexy Ethernet cable? With that wide bandwidth? That low latency? I’m getting wet just thinking about it. Let’s LAN party ;)
minus-squareatx_aquarian@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up4·1 year agoI always crimp my own, including using slide-on/slide-off hoods. That way I can back the hood off before plugging it into the port, which keeps it easy to disconnect, and I can slide it back on before pulling it through a tight spot.
minus-squareTurnItOff_OnAgain@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up3·1 year agoI crimp my own, but never used the hoods before on self made. Usually I run it where it needs to be then put the end on
minus-squareBearOfaTime@lemm.eelinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up3arrow-down1·1 year agoI’ve never had that problem 😉
