TL;DR 1.5 m cable, instead of 1 m. Color-matched and braided.
Only for uk though you know damn well they’ll sell lightning phones in the U.S. because they’ll never be forced to change

It’s a usb-c cable.
This is the last portable device I had that wasn’t usb-c.
Thanks to my AirPods, my phone is not the last hold out in my arsenal.
Thanks to AirPods not having type C I don’t own them.
Admittedly, I’m assuming they’ll make a usb-c case for them at some point soon
There are reports that they are going to be released alongside the iPhones this year.
When the Serial Bus is finally Universal
Actually, just the shape. The bus itself is just a horrible mess.

That’s fair lmao
The fact that there isn’t one cable spec capable of every and all protocols for USB-C is ridiculous IMO
Exactly. Singular “A” cable. And it’s “the” only cable I keep around or buy anything for. I refuse to use a dumb lighting port so instead I own a lighting to type C adapter. No more multiple cables; Its a cable.
I hope the new braided cables don’t break as easily as the current non-braided ones.
That’s a lot of speculation for a single cable
Maybe? Maybe? In which year are we living ? Can’t apple make a long enough cable for people to use? No they can’t, because people have to pay extra $$$$$$$$ to get a longer cable. They don’t care if you have to sit next to wall to charge and use your phone.
That cable in the pic looks identical to the one I got in my MacBook Air box a few weeks back. Hope this is true but you can see in the photo it’s clearly a) longer than 1.5m and b) too big for an iPhone box.
Are these still included in the box though?
Honestly, too long. I think 8” really is the sweet spot. I hate long cables!
8 inches??
Most chargers aren’t plugged into a place where you can conveniently lay your phone down 8" away.
I’m inclined to say your opinion is wrong.
(/s, kinda)
