50g of hot protein for a fiver was always great value (though I’m sure they’ve put the price up on it now)

A 500g cup of Skyr also has about 50g of protein and costs about 1.50€ (Germany).

A 20 McNuggets box at McDonalds Italy is 11.80 Euros. Can fill you up on protein for the day by themselves, but they are not cheap. They have a surprisingly very low amount of saturated fats despite being fried. You can get a frozen 1kg bag of them at the local supermarket for around 9 Euros (the MC box is 350g).

Do you mean actual mcd branded ones? We can find normal chicken nuggets, not mcd (but the standard ones are just as good sometimes better). In NL.

Well only a quarter of that fillet minion would be actual protein for one.

The box of 20 nuggets is apparently 320g, so let’s round up to 333g for easy maths. $15 for a kilo of nuggets. And conveniently ~15% protein.

So a steak has 2/3 more protein, we can buy less for the same overall protein

At least where I’m from, I don’t think I’m getting 2/3 of a kilo of cooked fillet minion for anything close to $15 (cheapest I can find with a quick Google is a raw one from Aldi at £7 for 170g = $9.50, so $38 for roughly 2/3 of a kg, might be able to do better at Costco or something)

Oh for sure, I’m not saying someone with a choice between the two should go for the nuggets.

Hell, I certainly wish I had the disposable income to be happily having someone cook me a kilo of fillet mignon every day. Though, my insides probably wouldn’t be too pleased after a few days…

But yes, if someone wants 50g of protein, is out somewhere away from home and only wants to spend a fiver, there’s not a load of options, and this was always a good one when I was more strapped for cash.
