In the video of the incident, which the family said occurred on Tuesday, the mother can be heard demanding her daughter’s return.

“They took my daughter, she’s 5 years old. She has autism spectrum,” the woman says in the video. “Give me my daughter back.”

The mother also explained that her daughter’s father “managed to run back into the parking lot of my house, but they grabbed the girl.”

The family said ICE agents challenged Edward Hip, a Guatemalan man who has lived in the United States for 22 years, to leave his home for his daughter.

“Is that your daughter? Come here so I can see those IDs,” an agent can be heard saying in the video, which shows him motioning toward the camera.

“Hey, I can give it through the door,” a man is heard saying in response.

“You can do it right here,” the agent says, pointing to the ground in front of himself.

The mother reported alleged harassment by the officers.

“They threatened us, saying that if we didn’t open the door within 15 minutes, they would enter the house,” she told Telemundo Nueva Inglaterra.

Leominster police arrived at the scene, recovered the child and returned her to the family.

I mean, as long as you’re exceeding my very low expectations for local cops confronting fascists, how about arresting and criminally charging these would-be kidnappers?

          false imprisonment doesn’t

and i will add that ICE does seem to be comfortable trading in the flesh of children.

Sure, totally. I’m just saying “would-be kidnappers” is accurate. They’re not “kidnappers” until they take her somewhere else.

It does look like they have her in the street. Wouldn’t that count enough as being taken off the premises by force?

If someone lives in an apartment building and their child is taken by another resident of that same building, that would still count as kidnapping, no?

I guess that’s true. I assumed they nabbed her in the street, but if they brought her from the building to the street, that’s kidnapping.

Bringing someone from one room to another against their will can be construed as kidnapping, IIRC.

This is fucking nauseating. What piggish scum are these. Fucking fat dipshit Nazi cocksuckers who love guzzling Trump cum. Jesus fucking Christ.

Edit: It takes some kind of man to use a five year old in this way. Of all the stories coming out so far, this one is especially sick. These people should be prosecuted immediately.

Just following orders is no excuse.

I don’t care if you’re a double digit IQ moron. You kidnap people, you do hard time.

Is there a local police department anywhere in this country that’ll stand up to this evil? States rights and the 10th amendment have meaning.

It’s a bit of the bare minimum, but this was mentioned in the article:

Leominster police arrived at the scene, recovered the child and returned her to the family.

They should be charging these agents for kidnapping/hostage taking, but at least they did in fact intervene to put a stop to the situation.

Massachusetts is a sanctuary state in several ways, including that local police are not allowed to help ice unless there is also a crime. At least as far as the state goes, they’re good

Massachusetts police and public resources are not allowed to help ice unless there is also a crime. But actively opposing federal agents to s a much steeper ask

        Arguably they can’t

        • it’s not against the law to wear masks and random tactical clothing (yet)
        • violations of due process and human rights are an issue for the courts
        • even if everyone else there is violating the Constitution, does it really help if they do too?

All those super tough guys that valiantly captured a five year old neurodivergent girl, and yet not a single one of them can see their tiny dicks under their sloppy gunts. Sad. The American gestapo won’t be doing stairs.
