I thought the US supreme court ruled that the US president could break whatever laws they want as long as it’s vaguely part of “doing their job”?

I still can’t believe Biden didn’t take advantage of that.

Neoliberals were the controlled opposition for McConnell era Republicans…

That’s why they had no fucking clue what to do when Trump showed up. It’s like that kid of a UFC fighter who did a pro wrestling match but treated it like a UFC fight without telling the other guy.

It doesn’t make him a good UFC fighter, and trump beating Hillary/Kamala doesn’t make him a good politician.

They were just beating the fuck out of some chump who thought they were there to stage fight.

          Obligatory note:

The voting members of the DNC learned their lesson and stopped appointing a neoliberal chair people.

So it’s important to talk about what was the problem, but people need to realize we won that battle so we can all move on to the next. A class war takes a lot of battle to win, and we can’t stop.

Biden was having trouble talking advantage of forming coherent sentences near the end.

Never, ever, forget that the democrats forced him on all of us. Any competent human being with a functional brain could have beat Trump in 2020, and in 2024.

They ran that guy twice, only canceling the plan far too late in 2024. Fuck the democrats.

There would’ve been more of an uproar. There are more liberal media, but the conservative media reaches more people, especially on social media.

GOOD. That’s the point. You have to make people realize that if you give people in control the power to do what they want it will work both ways. It’s not a one-sided power. People need to be reminded of that, and Biden should’ve abused the absolute fuck out of it to make people remember why we don’t allow it.

Yep. He’s not allowed to bomb random civilians. But he also can’t be held accountable.

SCOTUS basically said don’t ask for permission and you don’t have to ask for forgiveness either.

“We knew exactly who was in that boat,” Hegseth told Fox News on Wednesday. The Pentagon has frequently claimed to have killed terrorists when it has instead killed innocents. A 2023 investigation by The Intercept, for example, determined that an April 2018 drone attack in Somalia killed at least three, and possibly five, civilians, including 22-year-old Luul Dahir Mohamed and her 4-year-old daughter Mariam Shilow Muse. At the time, the military announced it had killed “five terrorists” and that “no civilians were killed in this airstrike.”

Several experts and government officials speculated that the boat the U.S. struck on Tuesday may not even have been smuggling drugs due to what they said was an unusually large number of people on board the vessel.

They don’t smuggle drugs on a boat with double digit people on board…

They do it by drone, either boat drone or even sub drone.

They just murdered a bunch of people for being brown and in a boat

I can’t say if they killed drug dealers or not but drugs are absolutely moved via boats like these. Drones is a lot more advanced that Caribbean drug smugglers usually use.

Largest military in the world wants to send in a team of commandos to butcher your neighbors, bomb your home, loot your town, and rape your dog. What is anyone expected to do about it?

Ask Gazans or the Houthis or the Afghanis or the Haitians what happens next. You either do a peace march that’s peppered with sniper fire. Or you put together a tin-pot resistance that maybe lands a few hard blows at the expense of everyone in your country over the age of 14 being used as target practice by the US Navy.

We’re going to commit yet another holocaust in Venezuela. Likely one that rivals Iraq, Libya, or Syria, simply because the administration is being run by bloodthirsty sadists rather than clinically mechanical ghouls.

Dude it’s 8 ships off the coast of Venezuela, 1.9% of the US Navy. Calm the fuck down. They’re just there so Trump can trigger a distraction any time he needs one.

11 people assassinated at the whim of the president is such a small number of people compared to how many have been butchered by this administration. Why even care?

What I hear you say is “surrender without even trying because it’s hard”.

People are dying today, more will die tomorrow. Your rights are being stripped daily and your democracy is slipping away and you’re content to watch it because you’re too afraid to resist.

Home of the fucking brave, everyone. No wonder the US is where it is.

I’m pretty sure he didn’t carry out the attack himself… Charge the troops that followed the illegal order and murdered civilians in foreign waters.

International law is a joke anyways. I say this every post that brings up international law and I’ll continue raising it. If you believe in international law you might as well believe in the power of friendship.
