I don’t think it helps Musk to have the news be “Elon is a white supremacist and antisemite”. Any news is not necessarily good news. In this case, it’s fitting to upvote and spread so everyone knows it.
When a company or person are household names, bad press is bad press. The idea that bad press is good press only applies if people wouldn’t otherwise know about them. If all press was good press, then companies wouldn’t spend huge amounts of money getting good press and burying bad press.
Musk and X would love it if these kinds of stories flew under the radar.
