Clarification: I’m not defending generative AI slop, but rather trying to spoof of people that call popular things “slop”, regardless of their nature, see the term “friendslop”. Even some AI bros use the term “slop” on non-AI work they think should be obliterated by the “democratization of the arts”, such as “Hollywood slop”.
AI suckers’ go-to response is very consistently a strawman argument because if they were in touch with reality then they wouldn’t be AI suckers

Some people call everything they don’t like “slop” regardless of the nature of creation. Hell, even AI bros call stuff “slop”.
If there were other things commonly referred to as slop, we might not know you were talking about AI. But it’s super obvious you’re defending AI because nothing else has commonly been referred to as slop except terrible food.

I don’t think AI has a monopoly on the term “slop.” I do agree this isn’t slop, though. I was leaning into the bit by being facetious. It’s actually one of my favorite memes.
