Privacy friendly ftw. I’m not satisfied with the amount of post processing mine does to images, I have little to no control over it. It’s like it adds very aggressive blur and sharpen filters for everything, and when you zoom up everything looks “blobby”.

My previous phone took way better photos, and I still use it if I need something looking a bit better. But it would be nice if I could just take decent photos with what I got, since I don’t always carry my old phone everywhere.

Suggestions?

I don’t have white balance controls that I can see, or a slider for shutter speed (even if it does have an option for bracketing there isn’t much I can control on it). ISO selection is also missing. Controls for other things seem to be there but the interface has less information, I have no idea of what values I have for anything. I do appreciate the option for flashlight on, that’s handy, and postprocessing seems less aggressive than my default camera.

Those controls are all a bit hidden if you don’t know where to look.

First you must change to Camera2 API.

White balance can be set to manual in the three dots menu and scrolling to the bottom.

Then shutter, ISO and white balance will appear in the same menu.

In this screenshot ISO is still set to auto, once set to M there will appear a couple more sliders.

Thank you! It took me a while to find the api2 but I got there. Well that does it then :)
