    Yeah it was a no-brainer. I chose the cats. For some reason she was surprised by that, but if you’re jealous of my cats, we’re not going to work out.

      She was jealous of them? I had assumed she had an allergy, or just couldn’t tolerate being around animals for whatever reason.

      That’s not even choosing between her and the cats, that’s just choosing not to date a person who just told you they’re psycho.

        My partner was like that when I got a dog because he thought he would need to compete with the dog for my love. We were in our early 20s and I’m sure being raised by the toxic narcissist of a parent didn’t help. He got over it fast after I asked why the fuck would he ever think that way.

      I cannot wrap my head around being jealous of cats. But then again, my Dad taught me how to understand them since I was young, so there’s that.
