I wonder what it’s like to have an honest conversation with the dude behind the Trump persona, when he’s let his guard down and he’s sitting right next to the person he trusts most. I’m not sure what I’d expect. Maybe it’s an act, maybe he’s earnest. Does he know what he’s doing? He acts for the cameras pretty damn well.

I was noticing him slowly dial back the makeup and fake colored hair late in his last admin. Somehow… the makeup returned. (with a vengeance)
