I recently beat Halo Reach on Heroic without dying. The final level took over a hundred attempts and about six weeks. It was very frustrating but made it that much more meaningful when I finally won

I recently beat Halo Reach on Heroic without dying.

I recently played through Remnant 2 and noticed it had an achievement for beating just one boss (any boss) without taking damage. Given how much bullshit the bosses throw at you in the game, it doesn’t surprise me it has the lowest achevial score in the game.

Also because I am still smouldering about it: The game’s final boss makes Consort Radahn look like a bitch, when the second phase constantly blinds you and teleports you randomly between two different arenas and two variants of the thing you need to shoot.

I recently beat Delerium in Binding of Isaac Repentance with Tainted Lost to get my final completion mark. I didn’t think I could do it for a long time. Now that it’s done, I kinda feel hollow. Hardest achieve I’ve ever gotten in Steam, but weirdly over 7% of players have the achievement. I suspect a lot of cheaters.

I suspect both people cheating all unlocks so they can play the game with all the damn items, and people playing/messing around with mods that make vanilla enemies/routes easier. I don’t blame either.

Oh yeah, that makse sense. I do use the external item descriptions mod, but I don’t see that as making the game any easier. Ok, just a bit easier as I’m less likely to take an item that’ll mess up all synergy.

Congrats on getting the last one, that’s sick as fuck! Not sure about rates of cheating in Isaac but just to give another perspective, I think play styles can really make the difficulty levels of each character change per person. I have a friend who’s way better than I am at the game who really struggles with lost / tainted lost, but for me (a very mediocre player imo) they’re some of the easier characters while the usual “easy” characters are way harder imo. Like I’ve got lost/tainted lost completion marks on all my save files but idk if I’ve ever beaten base Maggie lmao, so maybe the 7% of people aren’t all top tier crazy good players and some are just scrubs like me whose playstyles just align well with lost lol

Yeah, I think I’ll really enjoy the game again, but I’m gonna give it like a year or two. I’ve already got over 1000 hours in the game. Best value for money I ever spent on entertainment.

Oh man. I did my SLASO* run so long ago, I can’t remember which level was the hardest

*= the achievements didn’t require the invisible guns skull for the rest of the game after the first level

Wow, I don’t think I’ve got a SLASO run in me. I have beaten Reach on legendary before but this time around I just found it annoying rather than fun. That’s very impressive

There were some tricks and glitches for sure. Skipping whole encounters by climbing walls or clipping through them
