Waiting for the inevitable man to come in and go “But how are we supposed to unify if we keep dividing ourselves?” or “You’d have a fit if men complained about women attending a male only event.”

What I draw more issue with is the articles framing this as the dudes fault, and not the organizers.

Like yeah perhaps the dudes are tone deaf, but it’s not like they all made a several hundred member secret discord channel to unite and all attend this event as a unified effort to fuck over the women attending or… something?

Men don’t like being referred to as some kind of hivemind anymore than women do. I highly doubt this was some kind of… concerted effort by the men attending.

What instead happened was a fuck tonne of men decided “Oh hell yeah, tech conference. And it’s women led, thats cool, I wanna hear about the new tech and new jobs and see what people are innovating on, maybe network a bit” and they attended in droves.

Which I dunno about you, but that sounds like feminism is winning lol. In an actual world where feminism was losing, the tech conference would be a ghost town as men snub it because they don’t wanna listen to women talk about tech and would make fun of it, jeering and laughing about how silly it is, women thinking they can be CEOs.

And I’m pretty thankful we live in the universe where countless dudes lined up to sit and listen in crowds to women talk to them about tech…
