If not: what circumstances can justify violence? Can the police or the military act within morality? Is justice defined by law or outcome?

If the state is unable or unwilling to protect a marginalized group of people, at what point does it become moral to defend themselves?

As I understand it, the atlatl enabled much more efficient and powerful throwing without much loss of accuracy. A brief search for figures says it can hit a grapefruit at 40m range

As an atlatl expert (I watched several YouTube videos) they have an upward launch trajectory and seem to be ideal for longer-ranged flat ground engagement. This would suggest more utility for forest and open plains hunting where terrain advantage does not exist.

I am trying to work on being less confrontational on here, but it really feels like you are being willfully obtuse. Playing devil’s advocate for you, it seems like you are struggling with the gap between the text of the law and the enforcement context of the law. In this case there is a very wide gap between the two.

You aren’t going to change any minds here by arguing that the law technically allows abortions in this case. The issue is the enforcement and underlying context of the law.
