You are a fucking dumbass.
27 Feb is no more or less ambiguous than 02-27. The problems are when you choose a proper example, like 03/02
I think you have GenZ tunnel view on this. I was suggesting to bring physical backup media to a friend’s house :)
Nah, if you store them offline, you should ideally know when one of your backups has been stolen. Anything ever stored online is forever in limbo.
I understood the worry to be about storage devices being stolen from home. In which case it would be safe at a friend’s house. Putting an encryptes backup anywhere online is partially okay, but most people trust their cloud solution software for encryption, which is about as good as sensing your unencrypted data to that company.
Even with encrypted backups the risk is that totalitarian regimes / corporations store data forever. And if your encyption keys ever leak, or the algorithm is broken, you’re fucked in retrospect.
Don’t store data on other people’s computers. Use encryption locally and store an encrypted backup at a friend’s house, or in a bank safe if you must.
Decent human beings in every country find that word offensive (with the exception of the people of color slang culture saying it among each other). The people not finding it offensive are mentally ill hate-filled racists.
To human perception a 0.1 seconds isn’t much different than 0.03 seconds
You are making the mistake of thinking about reaction times. What matters much more in shooters is that our brain adjusts for the ping. That affects:
Yes, that little of a difference absolutely matters, proven by the observation that it went both ways. I could become the clear winner, or my opponent, based on who had the lower ping, whereas in equal ping settings the games were much more balanced. It’s easy to tell when you regularly play against the same people.
That’s how fast paced shooters work. Don’t think about the crap that people sell as “shooters” nowadays which is adjusted to playstation controllers or similar BS.
Think quake, unreal tournament, quake arena, openarena.
As an amateur, in a fast paced shooter, vs. an equally skilled player, it went from a fair match with equal pings to one player dominating the other with 100 vs. 70 ping.
My first thought ^^
saying that “gas” is able to catch fire on its own is stretching it :) A gas mix typically still needs a spark, unlike: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hypergolic_propellant <- that stuff can “catch fire” on its own. But even there - it needs to be mixed, so technically, one component requires the other to ignite.
It’s frustrating that people are so bad at dates that ISO8601 lives rent-free in my head because I constantly have to tell people ;)
Aussie government being traitors to humanity as usual. Nothing to see here…
Agree with you on IP and I agree it seems to be sadly a minority opinion.
Do it motherfuckers, I dare ya!
my apologies, I was actually thinking of “unlocking the bootloader”, rooting a device without an unlocked bootloader didn’t even occur to me. And since unlocking a bootloader is non-trivial by design, that would prevent any such accidents.
Rooting a device shouldn’t be any more complicated than having a sticker saying “warranty void if removed”.
CGA was 4 colors out of 16 I believe, with the two default color sets like you say. But I only see 4 colors in the images, too. Maybe the white in the black green red yellow is actually yellow?
