I legitimately do not understand

My cat uses both the posts and the furniture, even though the posts block some of the furniture corners. :(

My cat has a ton of scratching posts/boards. He enjoys and uses them, but also uses the furniture a similar amount. I try placing the scratching posts/boards in front of the corners of furniture to block it, but there are too many unblocked furniture corners. And even in a blocked corner, he will sometimes go around the block and use the couch anyway. I’m at a bit of a loss, tbh, so I tried ordering some stick on carpeting material and we’ll see how it goes.

Even if technically fleas may have spread the disease, they were still located on and being carried by the rats. Hantavirus is a huge dangerous one that rats can spread. There are others too as well as parasitic infections.

Same bacteria produce toxins and even after cooking it, the bacteria are destroyed, but the toxins remain. But it depends on the type of bacteria. It’s how some types of food poisoning works.

But yeah if all of these still mean that rats are safe to eat when cooked thoroughly, I’m on board. I just don’t know enough about cooked rats and quite frankly I don’t feel like investigating more since there is no one selling cooked rats by me lol.

God…whenever I use the device of a relative and see that there are no ad blockers on their yt, it is literally unwatchable. 90 second ads every 90 seconds, I swear, interrupting what’s going on in the video mid sentence. I have absolutely zero clue how people tolerate that.

People complain about cable TV ads, but unfiltered YouTube is absolutely an abomination to mankind.

It’s not the odd animal that bothers me. It’s just that I know rats are huge carriers of serious diseases while living that I’m not sure if they’d still be dangerous to eat after cooking.
