It’s a study; I imagine they controlled for age and other factors if the article states the study “found”, not “suggested” or similar looser term. It’s not an opinion, but a result of a scientific process. Your dislike for term “gamer fact”, even if it’s a bit cringe, doesn’t change that.

I wouldn’t consider exclusively using Lemmy for social media “hardcore”. Let’s be real, people don’t use social media because the content is important. I use Lemmy when I need a break and such, see some memes, read an interesting article someone posted. And Reddit sometimes turns up when I search for opinions on products, solutions for maintaining my home, stuff like that. Usually just useful, old posts. I keep in contact with people I actually know through private chats, mostly Signal. What else do you need?

In addition to what have been said in other comments, it’s useful to track your period for any serious irregularities. Your period can tell a lot about the state of your body, and those can be a sign of illness and such. For example, missed periods are very common in eating disorders; it might be a wake up call in many cases.

• Set a short time limit if you’re a beginner (e.g., 5–10 minutes).
• Focus on your breath and notice bodily sensations.
• Gently return your focus to your breath when distractions occur.

With body sensations, you can focus on the taste in your mouth for a minute, then switch to sounds you hear, how your fingertips feel etc. I usually close my eyes to better focus on each sensation. Just relax and gently observe what you experience right now.

It’s so funny, because in my case airdrying is one of the worst solutions. My hair gets very frizzy and flat while still curly. What I have to do instead is to immediately lie down with wet hair and kinda squish it against the pillow. When I wake up in the morning it’s voluminous and mostly not frizzy.
