  • Antifa is a loosely organized group of like minded individuals. There is no official membership, it’s an ideology welcome to any who share this world view. They develop tactics to intimidate and silence their opponents and help each other cover illegal and immoral behavior. This can be hitting people in the head with bike locks, throwing cups full of cement, lighting buildings on fire, and other destructive behavior. They wear black bloc and cover their faces so as not to be easily identifiable. They claim to be the good guys “fighting Nazis”, but really they’re a bunch of thuggish larpers with social behavior conditions and a lack of morals. I have hours and hours of video footage of Antifa individuals perpetrating violent and destructive acts against those they disagree with. They lean heavily into the untrue sentiment that they aren’t an organization as it allows them to side step any kind of legal accountability. In reality they operate sort of like sleeper cells in different regions protesting, rioting, stoking the flames to silence their political opponents. They’re scum.

  • What are your reasons for thinking he was on the Right?

My understanding is that everyone who has publicly spoken about him has indicated that while he was raised in a Republican family, he himself held strong Left views. His friends/classmates have indicated he had become very vocal about this and regularly got into arguments over it. He was in a relationship with a trans individual which is a decidedly Left behavior. More than that he murdered a Republican poster boy because of his ideology (as indicated by Tyler himself).

  • This is what’s so annoying. I had literal arguments with both people online and IRL about this massive jump in minimum wage and how it would have this exact effect. I was told over and over that it didn’t work like that, that people needed a livable wage, etc. My argument was that not all work has equal value and that minimum wage jobs aren’t intended as jobs you raise a family on. They’re a stepping stone as you enter the workforce and begin to develop/gain skills to be able to do work which has more value. With the insane increase in fast food minimum wage only one of two things will happen. Option one is that the price of the food shoots up and can no longer be competitive. Why would you pay $30 for fast food when you can go to an actual restaurant and get better quality for the same price? This leads many of these fast food joints to close and with it the jobs. Option two is that companies find ways to cut services and/or automate to offset the increased cost. The end result here is that once again the jobs go away.

I would love to have a proponent of this explain to me how no jobs is preferable to lower paying jobs. As a highschool kid, I was grateful to have my minimum wage job.

  • “Should” is the operative word in my statement. I personally believe that you SHOULD have that right. I have always held the belief that I would much rather people discriminate against me openly so I can determine who I want to give my money to. If a company doesn’t want to do business with me, then I certainly don’t want to do business with them. Instead we have laws that prohibit discrimination, but face discrimination in practice. It’s like having a friend who smiles to your faces, but talks shit about you behind your back. No thanks, I’ll pass.

  • How is that not a valid critique? I despise Apple as a company. As a result I refuse to purchase any of their products or use any of their services. To this day I have never purchased a single Apple product. I do this because I have conviction and standards.

1st world communists like to denigrate capitalism, yet live comfortable lives because of it. That shows zero conviction or standards.

  • I get your point, and while there is certainly a subset of people who are suffering through no fault of their own, there are plenty of people who are lazy and/or made terrible decisions. Lumping them all together like you are doesn’t help the situation. Those who want help should absolutely be helped. Those who don’t should not be allowed to ruin it for the rest of us.
