It’s a big problem in New Zealand. The native animals are super chill and relaxed because they have no native predators. However, invasive predators have been introduced and are wreaking havoc on the native species.

I wouldn’t think much about it if British person made the meme and used “Moo” for their cow. I would just assume it was a British person who made the meme. To them that’s the default.

4·1 year agoSomething weird I’ve been noticing. Lately I’ve been unintentionally minimizing comments before I’ve finished reading them. Just happened with yours. It’s like some subconscious part of my brain goes “booorrring!” half way through reading anything longer than two sentences and immediately goes for the next dopamine kick.
And I’m not knocking your comment. I was genuinely interested in what I was reading. It’s just a little troubling. I dropped Reddit and Lemmy a while back because I felt like I was becoming addicted. I lasted a few months, but evidently I’ve fallen off the wagon.
My go to has always been the emergency stop in the elevator.
It’s hyperbole, yo. It’s just funny because people born in the previous century don’t really think of it as that.

I have a fairly unusual, albeit not unheard of, first name. As far as I can tell, I’m sharing my first and last name with 5 or so people in the US. Back in 2008 or so I nabbed [email protected] (I also own www.firstlast.com haha). Every so often one of my brethren will use my email at dicks sporting goods or something. I always finish activating the account for them and sign them up for text alerts or something. Nothing evil. I figure they can just reply “stop” to opt out.
It’s not real, that’s the Mediterranean sea.

I don’t at the moment. I accidentally left it in the handicapped stall of a Walmart restroom a few weeks ago.
