Like Canada who doesn’t sell many EVs?

You don’t have to replace the battery every 10 years. LiFePo cells can do more than 3000 cycles before going below 85% rated capacity. CATL has been making these cheaply for years.
Toyota has been actively sabotaging EV transitions for decades. Of course they’re against the thing they don’t want.
How are most countries more suitable for EVs than Norway? Norway’s hydro power and smaller size is pretty great for EVs.
Hydrogen was as good as dead for years because compressing it is so wasteful
“so you just run android?”
My first complaint with Tesla is the shit tablet for everything. I don’t want to have to look at a screen while trying to drive. Elon is a shit but every publicly traded company is going to be owned in some regard by a billionaire fascist.
If the company is going public it doesn’t really matter, they can just sell the stock.
Sues corning for making all that glass that transmitted the piracy.
And I’m saying they need to have value other than ethics to sell new phones because used are more ethical.
Not making stuff is greener than making stuff.
That’s what my initial comment was about so if you’re this far without knowing that it’s pretty clear you’re not reading very well.
Used phones are ethically better than new phones. That’s a fact. If you buy used fairphones then that’s even better but they make such a bad product you have to buy it on ethics alone. If you’re buying on ethics then again, used is better.
You’re just spouting peak consumer copium and claiming it’s a fact.
I’ve listed facts here. But every time you come up with an excuse to consume more product.
It’s not like I’m recommending a specific brand and they’re actually some of the most common but you will always justify buying shit you don’t need.
You are simping for a private company that exploits labor just so you can feel better about buying another new phone instead of used.
Do they pay you to “yeah but” for them or are you just a simp?
But iPhones get long support, pixels now get 7, and S24 get 7.
Fairphone themselves even admits they can’t fix everything in production so a phone that was about to be waste is more fair.
If they built their phones in Germany or something I could accept the price but they’re made in China where labor standards aren’t exactly great.
I mostly can’t get over paying more for worse specs. It doesn’t have to feel bad now but with 8 years of support it could very easily not feel good in the future. It’s a $760 phone that benchmarks close to the Samsung A54 a $400 phone.
The selling point is the ethical value of the phone but it’ll never top how much waste buying a used phone saves.
I don’t think that would be really more effective as the federal income tax in the US caps at a really low rate.
Even renters have rights. If you’re buying something like this you likely have no rights in the matter and the license you agreed to made sure of it.
Instead of a time based token they should have authentication. To start the car you need biometric or passcode or Bluetooth to connect and the fob.
For the life of me I don’t understand why my phone has better security than my car.
Really funny because you can’t sue a gun maker for the guns they sold killing people. I say funny but I mean that it’s so depressing I have to laugh to maintain sanity.
BC has stupid cheap electricity, it’s a perfect candidate for EVs just like Norway.
