Wait, do people eats less than at least one frozen pizza per meal? Like, I don’t get them often, but I need two to feel full.
(I always get shit for writing about portion sizes, I’m only 70kg)
This could be an American thing.
I’m a big eater and sometimes feel like I could eat two cheap frozen pizzas.
When I went to America think I finished one meal and that’s because I was hungover, haven’t eaten all day and starving.
Their meal sizes are fucking insane.
The meal I ate was in waffle house. It’s this danky looking chain restaurant, it has this sad looking yellow and brown colours, all the furniture is plastic and tacky, they have basic coffee and pretty oily food that is super basic, waffles, eggs toast then you got to put a load of butter and sugar on top. As it’s open all the time and cheap it is full of people at all hours and a frequent stop for drunk college kids.
Anyway turns out it is amazing! Everyone should go.
Here are two chefs talking about how great it is.
You just have to add enough cheese
Im about your weight, but a whole pizza is usually enough. More than enough if I wash it down with coke
Are you still growing (teenager) or are very active or both? Calorie needs vary based on stuff like that, so if you’re discussing with people above 25 who are only mildly active they wouldn’t be able to burn away those calories as easily. Our base metabolic rate slows down too.
I’m around 30, actually. I used to be quite active, yes, but I’ve been sitting on an injury for almost a year now and even lost weight in that time eating the same amount (I still track every meal, so’ll still be in the habit once I’m fully healed).
Otherwise I’m healthy, even got checked for stuff like thyroid problems.
eat a whole frozen pizza? that is a walk in the park on a regular day
You must do it while pizza is frozen.
ok that makes sense
Slept in, set record, smoked, ignored messages and although I didn’t eat a frozen pizza I did cook only chicken legs for dinner…
I spend my home alone weekends setting up a series of elaborate traps in case some bandits try to rob my house.
This changes drastically if you have a kid(s). I would kill for a weekend alone at home right about now.
You would kill? And the thing stopping you from enjoying these free weekends is your kids?
Hmmmm /s
There’s still hope bro!
Weekend? This is like my daily routine.
I was laid off during covid and had severance, PTO payout, stimulus checks, and a healthy savings account so I definitely did this for about a month before I decided to get my shit together.
I’m 50 and since before I was a teenager I’ve never had weekends off in my whole life.
Well dammit, you don’t stand a chance at the maturation world record just waking off on a weekday. Where are your priorities?
You never had to work from home on a day with no meetings?
No
Are you happy?
Bro just finally started watching The Boys, fucking banger!
Am I the only one who began to hate wasting time on weekends? I am 28 and I have mostly wasted my time playing video games or watching TV shows earlier, but now I just can’t do that, and if I don’t spend time learning or working on something I am just stressed out.
To each their own. Just be sure it’s making you happy.
I work to live, but I don’t live to work.
Life is short and I thoroughly enjoy playing a video game without a care in the world. With a kid and a house, I have plenty on my plate. I don’t go out of my way looking for extra work. If the opportunity arises for me to “waste time” I take it and enjoy it without guilt.
Last night I got to play Lethal Company with two of my friends. Most fun I’ve had in months. No regrets.
In the same boat as you, but hell yeah nothing wrong with “wasting time” playing video games with friends!
My wife and I moved across the country so I highly value playing video games with my friends from back home, we play with our webcams on in discord so it’s the closest I have to quality time, given our distance from each other
It could be a symptom of anxiety, specifically time anxiety. Feeling like you “have” to be working on something and relaxing is “wasting” time is a consequence of hustle/grind culture that is linked to broader economic anxiety.
Are you able to meaningfully measure how productive you actually are? Research into productivity has shown that resting properly in moderation is linked to more efficient work output.
I’ve done all of these today
I’m only supposed to do these things on the weekend? Thought this was a daily checklist.
I got 6 nice!
Six. Spiralling on Sunday will happen. People report to me so half of my Sunday evening is coming up with game plans for Monday so they think I know what I’m doing.
