It amazes me that I can half wake up in the middle of the night and still do an explosive 180 to face the other way.

I literally bounce an inch up off the mattress and torque myself to one side, then instantly fall asleep.

I like to sleep on my side. My issue is that my dog likes to cuddle and when he tries to be big spoon(his preferred way to cuddle), he kicks me the whole night. He is a very active dreamer. Haven’t had a decent night’s sleep in 3 days because I’ve been kicked so much. I love my boi so much, but goddamn is he the worst at night lol

When i was a kid i was sleeping on my stomach and i’d have my hands on each thigh, arms tucked in, so the weight of my torso was more on my arms than my thorax for better breathing.

But then i grew down there and that got uncomfortable, so i bent one knee for the room and the hand can’t be put on my thighs. So now i bend each arm and put them under the pillow, also shifting my weight on the one opposing my bent knee.

That’s kind of an in between stomach and side but of course letter on i also adopted the side position to switch to, mostly because of my back getting old.

Apparently I spin clockwise in bed because my pajamas are always all the way to the left when I wake up
