Besides, it was really the ants who ruled the Earth. I mean, who do think ordered that ‘meteorite’ to kill the dinosaurs? We better watch out before they come for us.
They’re too busy at war with each other, although they’re apparently beginning to develop pre-WWI era chains of alliances spanning across continents now, so maybe be on the lookout for ant sized landmines and mustard gas munitions.

Birds are feathered theropod dinosaurs and constitute the only known living dinosaurs. Likewise, birds are considered reptiles in the modern cladistic sense of the term, and their closest living relatives are the crocodilians. Birds are descendants of the primitive avialans (whose members include Archaeopteryx) which first appeared during the Late Jurassic.
