Definitionally, yes. The EU and NATO are right-wing, imperialist coalitions that expropriate vast sums of wealth from the global south. All of them are dictatorships of capital.

Lot of words there. And if I told you Russia was the right wing and the EU was the left, how would that alter your world view?

Ok yeah I walked in to that one. Everything will be right wing to a full on communist. Curious though, what is China? They’ve got to be centre considering they’re essentially a capitalist-communist hybrid.

I was meaning more what we would typically refer to as “right” wing being the parties in charge ie Trump, Putin, Orban etc. The EU for the most part is considered “left”. An economic and political union trying to do good by all its members, free movement, free trade, free market, rules and regulations, legislations and protections for its people and the rule of law etc. it has its faults sure but it is quite social leaning.

China is socialist, the large firms and key industries are publicly owned, and the working class is in contril. It’s left wing. They have markets, but that doesn’t make them a “hybrid,” it just means they are at the developing stage of socialism.

The EU is a cabal of imperialist countries. All of the niceties in the EU are founded primarily off the backs of exploiting the global south. Taking a firm stance against imperialism requires that the EU essentially give up its super-profits.
