WASHINGTON (AP) — The United States under the Biden and Trump administrations has provided at least $21.7 billion in military assistance to Israel since the start of the Gaza war two years ago, according to a new academic study published Tuesday, the second anniversary of the Oct. 7, 2023, Hamas attacks in Israel that provoked the conflict.

Another study, also published by the Costs of War project at Brown University’s Watson School of International and Public Affairs, says the U.S. has spent roughly $10 billion more on security aid and operations in the broader Middle East in the past two years.

Ukraine could have used it more, instead we gave Ukraine a bunch of outdated/mothballed equipment. Stuff we’d typically destroy while it’s being replaced.

You say that like it was cash we gave.

We sent used Abram tanks, artillery that’s 30 years old, 15 year old anti tank missiles.

That was all mothballed shit that was possibly used for training or kept in storage for last stand land invasion scenarios that we weren’t sending out.

The fuck is the homeless guy going to do with it?

You want to talk about what we could do for homeless instead?

The new ICE budget would house the entire estimated homeless population.

        Every. Fucking. One.

You can do both, but instead narrow minded single issue voters want to push the one fucking thing they have the attention span to focus on.

We fucking deserve the situation we’re in.

        /shakes my fucking head

It sure was weird how those tanks materialized out of thin air ready to be given to whatever war libs consider the good one. Sure wish houses would cost zero dollars just like tanks, stealth planes and ballistic missiles do.

Sorry you get so upset at the mere hint that all that’s wrong with the US isn’t a direct result of Trump and not, say, the other party that’s been in power for like 12 years in the last 16

When the fascists come for you too, you’ll realize you were wrong to support them.

I don’t care if you change your mind now.

Hang on, so you think that being against fascist Putin and against his fascist fellatio buddy Trump is supporting them? God damn your gaslighting game is strong.

Who is Stepan Bandera, and why does the Ukraine have a holiday for him?

Again, I don’t want to change your mind. I want you to understand, at the end, that you were a Nazi. They won’t spare you for it, and you will never be forgiven.

Yeah except we promised Ukraine we would help, but not how committed we’d be to that goal. Plus the ultimate goal was to bleed Russia slowly. Can’t do that if Ukraine gets the best toys and stomps all over the Soviet machines in a few months. I say that was the goal but now the goal is seed sucking off Putin.
