Once the they put on the riot gear they act like the blood-thirsty Nazis they are and ignore the legal protections of the protestors.

Well if you ignore all the times were two sides of the issue were acting in good faith with a goal of mutual benefit, but those don’t tend to blow up like issues caused by fascists.

It’s worth mentioning that, while possibly true, the book is nonetheless a satire of militarism and fascism.
It absolutely is, sprinkled with some, sadly, hard truths about ourselves.
