Cook the pork and set aside. Add onions and deglaze with 375ml salt free stock (homemade). Reduce to just barely coating the pan, add apple sauce (homemade). Serve with a starch (sourdough (homemade))
Cost per person: $1.60 because the apples and turkey for the stock were all free a while back and I canned them all up.
I’m generally against beige as a meal color. But it’s what I had to work with.
Apples and onions together are delicious. In a way, it’s sort of a shame that they both look so boring once they start to caramelize.
