Ah, right. So as a shorthand for „way too batshit fucking crazy to have that much power”

The issue is the authoritarianism, not the economic system

All states are “authoritarian,” though. States are extensions of the ruling class in any given class society, capitalists in capitalist economies and the working class in socialist economies. The state wields the authority of the ruling class against other classes whenever class conflict arises. The extent to which authority is used depends on the circumstances a given society is in, Nazi Germany and modern Germany both have the same capacity for authoritarianism but are in different circumstances (though that seems to be changing).

The only way to get beyond such talk of “authoritarianism” is to eliminate the state by eliminating its basis, class society, and the only way to do that is to collectivize all of production and distribution. Until we get there, it’s necessary for the working class to be the ruling class that oppresses the capitalists.

Say that to Bernie and Harris, they are the ones associating Trump with communism.

People hear communism and think China is bad, that is the line Americans have been fed for decades.

To be fair, China is socialist, the “problem” is that that’s increasingly obvious to be a good thing that has brought the PRC tremendous success, led by the CPC.
