    I don’t understand your point.

Why would Trump care about Democrats being killed?

This isn’t about moral equivalency, or what’s right, it’s about what’s going to happen next.

He essentially declared martial law in DC because one of his twerps got hassled, how do you think this goes?

I don’t think it’s controversial to point out the obvious.

Utah County is a very red area in the middle of a very red Utah state, and it happened at a right-leaning college.

It would be a very bad look if Trump sent troops in because “bad man with gun”. Or it might be a wakeup call for the few dipshits still flying a Trump flag.

Either way, it’s a complicated aituation.

Source: I live 20 minutes away from where it happened.

And why would any reprisals have to be targeted to Utah…?

This event will be used to justify all sorts of escalatory measures that weren’t feasible for Trump yesterday.

But you don’t have to believe me, we’re going to get to watch it happen together real soon.

Again, I’m not even making a moral judgment about any of this. I’m just stating that objectively this is going to significantly amp up all of the fascist tendencies of this administration, and the right-wing in general - which will have real and political consequences.

Unless there’s something about Trump that leads you to believe he won’t take full advantage of the situation?

Oh he will, that’s for certain.
