I’ve used Reddit for 4+ years and trusted this platform, but now I’m completely locked out of my account.
Password resets succeed but login still fails.
Google login shows “Invalid credentials.”
Login links just say “Something went wrong.”
10+ support tickets = nothing but useless automated bot replies.
No human help, no security, no accountability. All my time, posts, and data are just wasted because of Reddit’s broken system.
This is how @Reddit_Support treats long-time users. Absolutely shameful.
Lemmy has different instances.
Instances will die. Someday lemmy.world may get there yes, but that’s not all of Lemmy. The power lies with those willing to/capable of hosting an instance.
At some point the donations won’t be enough anymore to cover the server costs (thanks to too many users generating too much data). At this point it can either shut down entirely or take the enshitification route. I expect the latter.
