Most are only found in the west, but theres a few eastern ones like Trifolium kentuckiense. But sure, the common clover in most peoples yards is likely Trifolium pratense or Trifolium repens

Don’t know if those places have quite the herd size to make it feasible. Amazing what some of the vast herds could do to transform the prairies back in the day.
