- They really did not need to make DK do an ahegao face in the thumbnail and yet, here we are - Lmfao thanks for describing it like that I hate it. - That’s a new word to me, but yeah of course there’s a name for that.

- DK loves the bananas!
- Oh, banana!

- A couple interesting bits: - Koizumi is the one who suggested this team do a DK game
- They decline to specify information about DK’s age, why Pauline is 13
- DKB started out on Switch 1
- Part of the inspiration for the gameplay was one dev just doing technical experiments with voxels
 - DK’s age, why Pauline is 13 - Why are people so obsessed with connecting this game to some weird timeline - It’s never made sense. - Why is Mario still young when Cranky Kong, the original Donkey Kong, is old? - WAIT CRANKY IS DONKEY? - My whole world has just been shattered - Yup! Notice the text in top left of the DKC manual: - Makes the DKC opening shot make more sense, doesn’t it? - Rare games aren’t Nintendo Cannon? (Idk just finding something new to argue about on the internet) - Nintendo isn’t consistent in their own games, so it doesn’t matter either way. Mario and Luigi race with baby versions of themselves! - Ah so the better theory then is eventually at some point time travel is invented in the Mario universe and is used in wildly inappropriate manners. - “Bet I can beat infant you in a race” “You’re on!”

- It’s make-believe—it doesn’t need to make sense. - Many make-believe things do need to make sense to actually be enjoyable. Not Donkey Kong games, though.

- There are people who play Nintendo games for plot? Lol

- It’s interesting that both this and Mario Kart: World originally started as Switch 1 games, and only later they decided to move to Switch 2. - I remember when they did that with Breath of the Wild. Link literally has a WiiU gamepad that you can’t use on the WiiU. You can only use it as a main monitor.
