Fishing prices vary pretty wildly by state. My home state fishing licensees have been $12 my whole life. When I lived in Louisiana for a year they wanted something absurd, like $400 for the year for a non-resident. I think for residents its like $75. Still something way beyond $12
i could be wrong, but with the abundance of delicious fish sources in LA, i suspect they don’t want people fishing and eating well for cheap instead of buying food at the store. also everything would be fished out of existence
