There are probably studies done on why women tend to prefer written porn, but off the top of my head: it’s easier to find material that’s made for women’s titillation rather than men’s. Women are more likely to have been raised with both body-shaming and sex-shaming, and keeping the visuals hidden in your brain may feel safer. Also some people (raises hand) are more turned on by scenarios than bodies.
