I’m finally making the switch from Reddit. The Voyager app seems like a pretty seamless transition, but I’d love to hear any tips about using this platform, or what quirks distinguish it from Reddit as a whole.

I’m sure. But we do have other communities. I myself like the edc community, calvin and hobbes, dullsters, 3d printing, greentext and general 4chan stuff, history stuff, and probably other things I have to check my subscriptions for. Point is, if you want it, find it or make it.

I’ve been able to filter out certain words/phrases to help get rid of most of the political posts.

Happy to share if anyone is wanting

Under filters/blocks in the app I use (Boost) there’s a section for blocked words. This is the list I have, and find it does a pretty good job:

          • Democrat
          • Democrats
          • Elon
          • Musk
          • Nazi
          • Putin
          • Republican
          • Republicans (need to add this one)
          • Russia
          • Tesla
          • Trump

People don’t need to engage politically on every single platform they frequent. I’ve blocked a long list of political keywords, because 95% of the political content I see here is about a country I’m not from. Americans can scream at each other to their hearts’ content without my being obligated to participate or even observe.

Well, I didn’t say running those specific filters was cool or not, just the ability to.
