      No, but 007 was a woman in no time to die, so this statement also implies it’ll be a reboot that’s not canon with the Craig era.

        007 can be anyone. James Bond should have relatively consistent features since it’s a character from a book series.

        If you want to put a new character in the James Bond franchise but not makes them James Bond, there’s little to argue against that. I just dont see any upside to leashing yourself to that franchise if you want to make something different. The audience won’t be there. It wasn’t there for Ghostbusters.

      This is just pandering to right wing extremists (ie mainstream conservatism).

      It’s like if, say, Unilever bought out a company and then released a statement saying “Chocolate Frosted Sugar Bombs will stay free of woke mRNA vaccine”
