Counter arguement: well written critical reviews can often help you find (and enjoy) unique and/or indie productions.
What if I were to tell you that critical reviews exist so people can find out if something is worth their time and money, not necessarily for vague feelings of personal validation?
There are too many movies and tv shows out there to just check them out without reading some reviews
