stop trying to use their faces as memes. it’s not going to happen
maybe yes or maybe no
stop trying to use their faces as memes. it’s not going to happen
YES!! I started with Guards! Guards! and I am hooked!! They’re all so good.
As the librarian would say, “Ook.”
haha, retire. as long as we’re dreaming, i guess i’ll spend my time riding unicorns on the moon.
but seriously, if this is somehow really an option for you… i’d teach community education classes. art, programming, basic cooking, whatever. i’ve met a lot of great friends in community ed. i think it’d be rad to contribute back.
bingo. change has to start somewhere.
the quality is really quite good for that era and storage media.
freedom freedom freedom, oy!
your honesty is refreshing, if not a bit depressing
enjoy my (fake) upvote
superhero movies. when the first Tobey Maguire Spiderman premiered, it was magical. i had wished for this exact thing for years.
now i can’t stand any of them. they’re cringe af, like watching a bunch of toddlers play pretend grown up.
the internet. or some other mass communication methodology. we have developed it before we’re responsible enough to have it. there are too many bad actors ready to take advantage of our innate biological tribalism. we’ll kill ourselves before we reach very far into space.
The rest of my life, no question. I haven’t had a cold or the flu in years. It’s not inconvenient, other than a few assholes so why should I stop?
Same for me. I hated the first two episodes but by episode three I was ready for more. Not sure when it became my favorite show but it eventually happened.
Community (on peacock). It’s streets ahead.
I think if a bald eagle showed up at an oval office window and started tapping Morse code on the glass it would get attention if not headlines.
boomer humor. wife bad, amirite?
yes, very much. i’ve been telling my partner it may be time to give up on Lemmy.
the ones that kill me are the long-form posts that seem to be making one point then pivot in the middle and get confusing. they’re just muddying the waters but people who don’t read past the first sentence or two upvote so they gain traction.
“In terms of” when it relates to nothing in the discussion. It’s just a fluffy pile of nothing to either make you sound smarter, make your idea sound smarter, or fill in space like “um”.
“In terms of the design, we’re choosing blue.”
you’re demonstrating at least one logical fallacy - the false dichotomy that our only choices are “vote for genocide” or “vote against genocide”. this grossly misrepresents the situation. and I’m pretty sure you know what you’re doing.
if you want to change things, do it from the ground up not the top down. vote for the “little” positions, the local elections. they’ve put us in this position with these small roles and gerrymandering. fix the illness, not the symptoms.
