  • Look I don’t doubt you’ve met these people but it’s not everywhere. Here in Australia the kids still learn this at school.

My daughter is in primary school and they’ve learned to use a word processor, spreadsheet, presentation software etc.

So they can all use a keyboard and mouse and she’s done some school projects as PowerPoint slideshows.

  • I’m thankful I was in my late teens and early 20s during the 90s. It was pretty good and I have a lot of nostalgia for it. The cold war ended. Berlin Wall fell. Mandela walked free. Such an optimistic time. And great music to boot!

Also had internet but no smart phones. You had to take your whole computer to Lan parties.

  • You’d probably be okay and able to follow along but some things will be different or not make sense as they might mention characters who were never in the tv show. Eg Drummer was completely different. And without spoilers there is one giant difference with one of the main characters due to stuff that happened in real life with the actor. Also in the books you get to know the characters’ inner thoughts and motivations which might make some decisions in the last 3 books not too clear.

I’d recommend reading them all as they are very good. But yeah you’ll probably be fine.
