Haven’t Trump and his Mafia been promoting crypto lately? Is this a preview of things to come for us in the States?

I use Boost for Lemmy. The transition from Reddit was easy for me, and I know little about the fediverse other than the most basic outlines.

I think that would affect the rest of us, because that means family farms might be taken over by corporations, which is already a huge problem. Because of the downstream effects on the nation as a whole, I sincerely hope they learn their damned lesson.

Do they deserve to lose everything for their stupidity? Sure. Do the rest of us deserve to pay for their stupidity with an increasingly corporatized or weakened agricultural base? No.

Some people choose to have guns. They’re not cheap, and not everyone over here is willing to kill someone else.

If we start burning cars, we likely start getting shot. Remember this is the USA we’re talking about here. Maybe it needs to come to that, but don’t judge people for trying to avoid the kind of crackdown Trump would likely enact given any excuse.

I would think it would be 1-2-3-4, you know, like the combination an idiot would put on his luggage.

I, for one, welcome our coming cybernetic overlord.
