It’s not “extremely” dangerous. I’ve been microwaving food and drinks with cutlery in them for years without incident. In some respects it’s even better than without (more even heating of foods, not having drinks explode in the microwave when too hot). From my experience and online video watching, only metals with sharp-ish edges or micro-ridges pose any kind of danger (e.g. crumpled aluminium, CDs).

  • I don’t understand how that’s possible. Like, driving school has ingrained the turn signal reflex into my arm so well that I sometimes even feel weird not using a turn signal when making a hard turn on a road without crossings. And changing lanes without a turn signal literally can’t be done, my brain feels. Don’t driving schools in the US do that?

  • Czechia. I get 20 days off mandated from the state, plus some (12-ish?) public holidays, plus every day I donate blood (that’s up to 5 days a year).

My job gives me 5 extra vacation days, and when I’m on sick leave, pays me the full 100 % of my salary.

I take vacations for as long as I need :) But mostly I try to chip away at my supply with one- or two-day vacations, usually around weekends and/or combined with public holidays. I am obligated to take vacation at the end of the year, and I always take 3-4 days for a yearly local metal festival.
